Biography

Dr Uchenna Daniel Ani is a Computer Scientist and Cyber Security Expert. He is a lecturer and Programme lead for the MSc. Cyber Security at the School of Computer Science and Mathematics, Keele University, UK. Dr Ani holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Control System Cybersecurity, an MSc. in Computer Security and Forensics, and a B.Sc.(Hons) in Computer Science. Dr Ani is involved in leading and guiding the direction on some of IoT-enabled critical infrastructure security projects in the PETRAS National Centre of Excellence for IoT Systems Cybersecurity, a consortium of 23 UK universities.  Dr Ani’s work is deeply ingrained in multidisciplinary cybersecurity research,  exploring and understanding how technical cybersecurity solutions interact with social elements including humans, standards, and policy attributes to create safe, secure, practicable, and future-proof cyber security and resilient outcomes.

 

His research interests are around exploring how socio-technical security lenses – analysis, modelling, and simulation – can be engaged simultaneously to address emerging cybersecurity challenges in interconnected critical Infrastructure systems/organisations. Dr Ani’s research interests also include; ICS/IoT/IIoT Cybersecurity and resilience, Security Modelling and Simulations, Security Metrics, Human-factor Security, Security Risk (threat, vulnerability and impact) Analysis, Cybersecurity Analytics, Digital Forensics and Evidence Integrity, Network Quality of Service, Digital Transition and Circular economy.
